With the rapid development of modern economy, service industry also has beendeveloped quickly, its development level has become an important symbol to measurea country’s economic. Since the reform and opening-up, service industry of China hasdeveloped at an amazing rate, but the overall level of its development is relatively low.As the difference of regional natural resources, industrial structure etc, the serviceindustry development exists obvious non-equilibrium in China. Generally, the level ofservice in coastal areas is generally higher than inland areas. The level of serviceindustry’s development has a great influence on the economic development of aregion, thus, the influence factors of service industry’s development become a hotissue, therefore, scientifically and comprehensively studying the influencing factorson the development of China’s service industry, deeply understanding the relationshipbetween the service and economic growth in china, and correctly evaluating thedifference of the service economic impact in different provinces, are of greatsignificance for Chinese service industry’s development and economic growth. In this paper, analysis and examination are conducted from multiple perspectives, centering on the regional development difference and influence factors of the serviceindustry in China. Firstly, analyzing the spatial convergence diagram and Moranscatter plot of service industry’s development, there exist four different spatialstructures, that is the development of local service industry is high and surrounded bythe regions whose service industry’s development is high, the development of localservice industry is high and surrounded by the regions whose service industry’sdevelopment is low, the development of local service industry is low and surroundedby the regions whose service industry’s development is high, the development oflocal service industry is low and surrounded by the regions whose service industry’sdevelopment is low. Most regions are in such a situation that the development of localservice industry is low, meanwhile, they are surrounded by the regions whose service industry’s development is low as well. Then analyze several factors affecting thedevelopment of service industry from the perspective of space, such as human capital, the level of economic development and urbanization with the help of geographicweighted regression model. The result shows that the same factors have significantlydifferent influences in different provinces.Secondly, dividing China’s provinces into three parts, that is the eastern, thecentral and the western. Comparing the ratio of regional service industry output to thenational service industry output, result shows that the level of service industry’sdevelopment is highest in the eastern, while lowest in the western. Then analyzingeach part using spatial panel model to test the influence on service industry such ashuman capital, investment in fixed assets employees, the development of localeconomic etc, comparing the differences of three parts and inspect spatial spillovereffects of the various regions and their differences.Thirdly, using the method of matrix exponential spatial specification model toanalyze the influence of many foundation factors have on the development of serviceindustry and considering whether the development of local service industry isaffected by the service industry’s development nearby, the factors includinginvestment, the employees, the economic development. The results show that theregional development of service industry exists a significant spatial dependence. Finally, in order to explore the effects that agglomeration and specialization haveon service industry, calculating the average concentration ratio and regionalspecialization accordance with relevant data, the results show that the level of China’sservice industry concentration ratio presents a decreasing trend from coastal areas toinland. Then using the spatial panel model to analyze the service industry’s influenceaffected by average concentration ratio and specialization, the average concentrationratio has a significant positive influence in promoting the development of localservice industry, while the regional specialization’s influence on service industry isnot significant.
