The Cultivation Model Of Higher Vocational Professional Exhibition

Convention and exhibition industry as an emerging industry is booming, which happens every moment, everywhere in the form of large and small conferences or festivals. Shanghai successfully holding the World Expo in2010makes people learn well about the knowledge of convention and exhibition, and from which, the exhibition practitioners have accumulated the necessary experience. Although the Convention and exhibition industry have been making great development in recent years, the corresponding exhibition professionals are very scarce. Therefore, it is the most urgent task to cultivate exhibition professionals. However, with the rapid expansion of the scale of the exhibition education, the contradiction between convention and exhibition education and market supply and demand is increasingly outstanding, which lies in the following aspects:1. the position of talent cultivation of the exhibition major is unclear in Higher Vocational College;2. the features of the professional setting are not obvious;3.the weak teachers and teaching material’s lags behind;4. the authenticity of the limitations of the training base and the school-enterprise cooperation basis is not firm. In this context, how to accelerate MICE talent training, especially in Higher Vocational Education and professional training, further exploring the talent cultivation model of exhibition major in higher vocational college reflects the important practical significance.This article sets forth the current development situation of exhibition industry and situation of demand of talent in China as well as present training situation in Higher Vocational College Talent Cultivation and the difficulties and problems encountered in the process, and gradually straightens out personnel training exhibition ideas in higher vocational education, combining with the author’s own teaching experience and research. This paper mainly focuses on the talent mode cultivation of exhibition based on Zhejiang Agricultural Trade Vocational Institution, finding out problems and deficiencies, exploring and setting the convention and exhibition industry talent training scheme which is more adaptable to the local economic development, so as to further make clear the exhibition talent training target specialty in higher vocational college and training specifications. The paper explores the teaching method and mode with the distinctive features of regional economy and higher vocational characteristic; the practical teaching way with enterprise’s deep participation, the establishment of the team of the teachers with high-quality; the expansion of professional ideas; the setting-up of regional exhibition education practice platform combining with local exhibition industry’s development. With all the explorations, the paper finally finds a suitable outlet for the cultivation of convention and exhibition professionals in higher vocational college. The paper adheres to the core idea of education of "competency-based, employment-oriented" as the guidance", reflecting the document spirit of "A Number of Observations to Improve the Teaching Quality of Higher Vocational Education" released by the Ministry of Education (the high [2006]16date).
