Shipbuilding industry, as a modem industry, is to provide the technical equipment to water transportation, marine development and national defense construction industry and as an intensive industries of labor, capital and technology, and to put in strong motion to upstream-downstream industries like electromechanical, steel, chemical engineering, shipping, marine resources exploration and so on and to show a significance to the employment, export trade, and security of coast defense development and represent a comprehensive technological and industrial strength of a country. Over the past decade. China’s shipbuilding industry, developed rapidly, especially in2010. ranked first in the world for the first time by virtue of China’s three major shipbuilding indicators beyond Korea at all. But the development of production management of China’s shipbuilding industry lags far behind the overall development of the industry especially extensive production management appears more highlighted. With the ship market’s cyclical downturn, the increasingly fierce competition between the shipping enterprises in China with foreign shipping enterprises, as well as the lower management levels, has become one of the main reasons for restricting the development of China’s shipbuilding industry.This article is guided by lean production ideology, it bases on DSIC’s actual situation, adopts the research methods of combining theory with practice, tries to optimize production scheduling and controlling system of DSIC company on the conditions of existing resource, as a result it will improve and enhance the operating efficiency of the entire company production management.This article addresses from the analysis of existing circumstance of DSIC’s organizational structure, processes of production planning, production controlling, on-site management system. The article aims to determine and identity the source of problems by means of dissecting the problems existing on production management, it also paves a way of applying lean production theory to solve practical problems. According to the characteristics and requirements of the lean production theory, this article discusses one set of optimization plan on aspects of improvement on production planning and organization, improvement on control methods, on-site management etc. It will greatly prompt the lean production theory application on production management area by means of research and optimization for production planning. it will reach the purpose of optimizing the whole DSIC production management in the end.This study brings practical significance to the improvement of DSIC’s production planning management, and also gives guiding significance to the optimizing of the other manufacturing enterprises.
