Along with economic globalization and the coming of information era, all the enterprisesaround the world are faced with increasingly fierce local and international market competition.More and more attentions are paid to performance management, which as the critical part ofhuman resources management and the foundation of incentive system in enterprise.Performance management aims to improve the ability and quality of staffs, so that theenterprises can improve and enhance the performance level. The CG Company is a privateenterprise, which mainly engaged in the design, production and installation of ornament of thebuilding, like aluminum door&window and curtain wall. After12years of development, itcan produce up to500000square meters aluminum door&window and200000square meterscurtain wall per year. Besides, it has a good development prospect. However, CG companystill has the weak human resources management infrastructure, especially its low levelperformance management-the bonus distribution program is determined only by a fewcorporate executives.In this paper, by using the basic theory and methods of human resources management,through the interview and questionnaire survey, we analyze the current status of the CGCompany and focus on its performance management issues. The existing CG performancemanagement system can’t fully correspond with the company’s strategic development goals aswell as represent the direction of the company strategy, the performance of the employee.What’s more, Performance coaching, performance feedback and applications still needimprovements to stimulate the performance of the staff. As a result, the management systemcan’t meet the development of the company.By making full analysis of domestic and international literatures on performancemanagement, and status and effect of similar enterprises using the performance management,we figure out the balance scorecard is a common kind of performance management tools.Balanced scorecard which bases on the enterprises’ strategy is the integration of all kinds ofmeasure methods. It includes not only the financial index-the traditional performanceevaluation, but also the business indices, such as customer, internal operation, and leaning ordevelopment. All those indices perfect the performance evaluation system. Therefore,according to the theory of BSC performance management and some examples of businesssuccess, we try to design a performance system through the dimensions of financial, customer,internal operations, and learning or development of the CG Company, founding aperformance management system which is based on performance organization, plans, coaching, evaluation, and feedback. By these means, we hope to improve the level ofcompany’s performance management and ensure the realization of development goals of thecompany’s strategy.
