Study On Risk Management For Information System Integration Project

Nowadays IT system is gradually extended, and information technology systemintegration project (ITSIP) is rapid growing. But there are some problems in projectimplementation, such asWith the continuous extended of IT system, and information technology systemintegration project (ITSIP) is rapid growing. But in the process of project implementationthere are some problems, such as low success and cost loss. Effective project riskmanagement can reduce the probability of the occurrence of risk events, and reduce theimpact on the project. Project risk management is a critical section in project managementknowledge framework; however, there are more of a generic project risk managementmethodology and lack of risk analysis for ITSIP.This thesis focuses on ITSIP risk management methods; study the research results ofrisk management and summary from a theoretical study to practical application; introducethe basic theory of risk management, and analysis the features of ITSIP difference fromother projects and the special risk management requirements; make the risk managementprocesses including risk planning, risk assessment and risk treatment.Through researching Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode Effects andCriticality Analysis (FMEA), combined with the relation between information system andbusiness process, introduce the business impact index and link risk and business. Inaddition, using Pareto analysis methods in project risk evaluation process to find thecritical factors in project risk and provide the basis for risk treatment decisions.Using the method in an actual ITSIP to verify the effect of risk management, and findthe improvement direction.
