Since the economic reforms, along with the economic development, the progress ofagricultural production technology and scientific technology, China’s agriculturalproductivity efficiency has been generally improved. The great reduction of rurallabor force make it possible for its transfer.China is a traditional agriculture country, with most of the population engaged inagriculture. Though great efforts has been tried on the rural labor force transfer for30years, the changes are just unproductive. By analyzing the current situation of China’srural labor force, studying the economic impact of the transfer of rural labor, conducive suggestions have been made to the transfer of rural surplus labor force. Therefore, this study have a very important significance.Firstly, this study hypothesizes that there are only two departments which we callagricultural department and non-agricultural department, and makes a calculation ofthe labor number shifting from the agricultural department to non-agriculturaldepartment and calculate the rate of Labor Force Transfer from1981to2010. Thenuses mathematical methods to derive the formula of labor migration effects andcalculates the migration effect of these years.Secondly, this paper veries the relationship between the labor force transfer rateand migration effects with the Granger test, come to a conclusion that the method togrow labor transfer effect is not the labor transfer rate as high as possible, but payattention to labor re-configured so that a rational allocation of labor resources in theproduction sector.Thirdly, this study uses the growth factors analysis model, labor force transfer rateis introduced to the model. In conclusion, the findings from this study reinforced thatlabor force transfer rate has significant positive effect on economic growth rate from1981to2010. Today, the aging population problem is more serious, labor transfergradually shows its importance in the population aging era. Finally, this study puts forward constructive suggestions in line with our national conditions according to the above theoretical and empirical analysis.
