The project schedule management, as a crucial management part in ensuringcompleting the project on time, refers to managing the progress in all stages of theproject and the final completion time, with a view to controlling the project to becompleted with high quality and efficiency within the contract or the plan period. Itincludes such two key aspects as project quality and efficiency. The projectmanagement staff are mainly in charge of correctly working out the constructionschedule, finding the deviation of the actual and planned schedule by following upand examining and adjusting it timely and efficiently.The paper first reviews the related theories of the project schedule management,including project management, project schedule management, project progress control,with focusing on the main method of project schedule control, namely, networkplanning techniques. It presents the origin, development and basic principle ofnetwork planning techniques, analyzes its advantages and disadvantages, anddiscusses drawing up network planning, methods and measures of its optimization inits implementation.Combining with the status quo in Shandong Kaida wholesalecenter of motor vehicle parts (hereinafter referred to as Kaida), the paper formulatesthe principle and process of Kaida Schedule Plan, sets up its schedule managementgroup and draws up network chart on the basis of the theories of network planningtechniques and project scheduling. Then the thesis analyzes in detail the dynamicprocess of the implementation, examination and adjustment of Kaida schedulemanagement plan, the key factors leading to the deviation of schedule, and theadjustment measures. It is found that network planning techniques and bar chart workwell in the project. On the one hand, network planning has the advantage of overallmanagement in a big project; on the other hand, bar chart facilitates the projectschedule management. Meanwhile the author used various ways of scheduleexamination and plan adjustment, which provides scientific decision means of construction schedule control. In the end the problems and suggestions in the processof project implementation are put forward in the hope of contributing to the effectivecontrol and management of projects of similar businesses or industries. |
