However, as an island with very meager land resources and high population density in the world, Singapore Government achieved a real "Home Ownership" and offered very comfortable living condition for people, after50years of unremitting efforts. Singapore was rated one of the most suitable countries for human living by the United Nations. The Singapore government plays an extremely important leading role in aspect of solving housing problems. The two factors that make Singapore successful in promoting housing system are the Housing and Development Board as well as Central Provident Fund Board. These two statutory bodies play a crucial role. This paper has profound analysis and research to the housing system of Singapore. Firstly, it elaborates the history of the reform of housing system in Singapore, including the historical background of the creation of the system, the development of the system and improving process.
