A Business Travel Company is a business travel agent engaging in Shandong market, providing a full-range of customers of business travel from governmental departments, various institutions and companies.As the Chinese business travel market is continuously increasing and maturing, many new comers enter this industry, making the competition even more ferocious, including international business travel tycoons which expanding their presence by their joint ventures with Chinese counterparts, many local traditional travel agent setting up their business travel departments, in addition to numerous small and medium travel business agents.As a company specializing in Shandong market, A Company is facing more competition than ever before, as many competitors come in and the customers from government are considering cutting off their expenditure on business travel. In the face of these challenges, it’s very crucial for A company to figure out a proper development strategy for long-term development.This paper focus on the development strategy of A company. It firstly make in-depth analysis of the travel business market, in terms of its macro environment, the entire market and industry competition, and the status-quo and challenges of this industry are therefore identified. After that, this paper goes further with analysis and evaluation of A company itself, including the resources at its disposal, its capacity and hence strengths and weakness are clarified. Finally, the mission and core competitiveness of the companied was summarized and a set of corporate development strategy with growing strategy as major roadmap was concluded, followed by suggestions for substantiating the strategy.Methods such as PEST and SWOT were employed in this paper in analyzing the business travel market and competition level. The measures proposed were therefore practical and it’s believed that this paper with its analysis and measures will help A company to maintain and improve its core competitiveness and realize a long-term excellence.
