Logistics nodes in the modern logistics network play an important role in optimizing the entire logistics network. They not only perform logistics functions, but also implement integrated services, commanding and dispatching, as well as information processing functions of the hub, which makes them the soul in the entire logistics network. Construction and development of modern logistics system need a large number of different levels, scales and functions of logistics nodes. However, the layout of China’s logistics nodes is still at an early stage of exploration. How to plan the layout of the nodes scientifically and effectively to adapt to specific social geographical environment, divide the logistics nodes’levels, make a clear node positioning, and adjust the size and quantity, are essential and significant for the promotion of regional logistics development. In this paper, under the guidance of the system theory, it has done a lot of theoretical research and has analyzed the status quo. First, the paper starting from the basic theory of modern logistics system, logistics nodes, and its layout, summed up the general requirements of the logistics node and its layout plan. Besides, it also analyzed three kinds of logistics nodes:logistics parks, logistics centers, distribution centers. Then, it introduced the socio-economic and logistics development in recent years, especially in Zhejiang Province in2010, which laid a firm foundation for further empirical investigation. Moreover, the paper mainly analyzed the logistics demand factors affecting the layout of the logistics node, and summarized the common methods, which provided ways of data acquisition for modeling. Finally, according to the layout of China’s logistics nodes, it classified logistics nodes as three levels considering technical characteristics and administrative levels. Among them, different levels of logistics nodes defined different functional orientation and radiation range.Thesis, based on the theory of disequilibrium theory, established a logistics node layout planning model through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The model based on logistics demand forecasting, established an evaluation index system of regional logistics development; using principal component analysis divided the specific levels of the nodes, which were the collection of the same level of logistics nodes; based on the amount of logistics and logistics strength, determined the number of logistics nodes. Finally, after theoretical analysis and model building, taking Zhejiang Province Logistics Nodes Layout Planning for example, with the attitude of combining theory and empirical research, it did explore the empirical model, and proposed a set of recommendations for Zhejiang Province Logistics Node Layout.Begin with the research of current situation, this article effectively solves the planning problems of the modern logistics system, which will help the logistics nodes to allocate resources rationally, optimize and integrate. Furthermore, it will promotes the logistics nodes to be more reasonable, efficient and refined in terms of layout, allocation of resources and functions positioning, thereby improving the operation efficiency of the entire logistics system, as well as providing protection for sustained and healthy development of China’s modern logistics.
