Taking Y Construction Corporation as the study object, this paper analyzes the problems of the present position based pay system applying the enterprise management theories of salary and pay, etc., which includes ceiling effect, motivation inadequacy and low salary satisfaction. Through the theoretical research and positive analysis, it applies the enterprise management theories to the salary management of Y Construction Corporation to improve its performance. Firstly, it establishes the theoretical foundation for analyzing the present problems of the Y Corporation by summarizing the related theories of the salary management and applying the enterprise management theories to the salary management. Then it analyzes the existing problems and reasons through questionnaire and interview. Learning from the successful cases, this paper suggests that optimizing the salary structure should submit to the strategic target of the corporation, know the advantages and disadvantages of the present salary management system and improve constantly from the practical necessity. It uses the general applicable theories, describes the formatting and optimizing processes of the salary structure, and discusses how to alter and optimize the existing salary system to attract and retain the mainstay talents by paying more attention to the key positions and backbone employees. Formatting the new salary structure could improve the activities and creativities of the staff, guarantee the sound and sustainable development of the firm, and increase the economic efficiency of it. This salary allocation mode places the position value first and professional skill second, which links the salary and position, integrates the skill with performance, and shows the organic combination of the theory and practice.The process of the salary structure optimization includes based on the practical analysis, decomposing the enterprise strategy, establishing the correspondence between the position ranks and skill levels, evaluating and determining the skill level and skill based pay scale of the employees, designing the optimized scheme and implementation plan, supplemented by the related security system and policy, and formatting an effective scheme of the salary structure. Combined with other functions of the human resources management, it improves the management mechanism and achieves the management goals of the enterprise. This paper presents how to analyze the problems on the basis of the internal and external environment of the enterprise, clarifies how to optimize the existing salary structure through the scientific design, and deals with how to adopt concrete policies to consolidate and develop it.
