Practices And Reflections About Multifunctional Agriculture

Development of multi functional agriculture is an important way to improve the conditions of agricultural production, the efficiency of agricultural production, the rural management form change, the sustainable development of agriculture, and to build a rich, civilization, ecological new countryside. The Party Central Committee and the State Council has always attached great importance to the three-dimensional rural work, and promulgated7first documents continuously to further strengthen the construction of modern agriculture.This paper is based on Tongyuan Township, Shenzhou, for example. It is from the aspects of theory and practice, and use the ways of quantitative analysis combination of qualitative analysis. The research on the development of multifunctional agriculture is through information access, expert advice, field survey, local residents communication, statistics, and combined with the accumulation of practical work.In the study, it laid the theoretical basis of the paper by organizing the theoretical study of multifunctional agriculture at home and abroad, distinguish the function of the multi-functionality agriculture, summarizing the business conditions of multifunctional agriculture, and analysis the development trend of multi-functional agriculture in China.This paper have a specific research in Tongyuan Township. It summarizes the main practice of the development of multi-functional agriculture, and has made some progress by highlighting the economic function, strengthen the ecological functions, and expand human capabilities. However, there are some objective problems such as relatively simple function, inadequate training of social function, and the neglected food security problem. So I analyze the factors of restricting multi-functional agriculture, and clearly point out the four constraints:the loss of concept, the failure mechanisms, the relative differences in natural conditions, and economic and cultural information hysteresis.I propose a solution of the development multi-functional agriculture in Tongyuan Township through theoretical guidance and analysis the reasons of problem. Specifically, if we want to foster the concept of the development of the multi-functional agriculture, we must expand the industrial chain to promote the integration development of every functional of agriculture, optimize the internal structure of agriculture to create a comparative advantage, strengthen the agricultural infrastructure, agricultural extension, management talent and skill training for farmers, and establishment of financial policies to support to promote agricultural restructuring, and so on.
