Bank of Inner Mongolia has experienced more than ten years of development, and become a new force of economic development in Inner Mongolia. At the same time, we see the increasingly competitive environment in Inner Mongolia market which brings lots of unprecedented challenges and pressures for Bank of Inner Mongolia, and how to get a development better and faster is a very important issue which Bank of Inner Mongolia is facing now. This paper based on the analysis of environment, competitiveness and other aspects, researched a development strategy for Bank of Inner Mongolia’s own.First, Bank of Inner is living in the fastest growing areas of China’s GDP, the energy industry has become the most characteristic industry in Inner Mongolia, which requires Bank of Inner Mongolia to take the development strategy of characteristics, and form a development path with the characteristics of regional advantage. Second, while taking the development strategies with characteristics, Bank of Inner Mongolia also needs to implement business transformation strategy persisting in development and transition, optimize the structure of assets, liabilities, revenue and channel, efforts to achieve longer, better quality, higher level of development. Third, in response to the situation that competition increased and the dynamic environment reinforced, it is necessary to organize the different banks together through strategic alliances both for strengthening the partnership among banks and avoiding the scale issues that may arise in the forest of banks in Inner Mongolia. Fourth, to achieve the smooth headway of development strategy, the technology development strategy is essentially logistical supporting, only with the continuous development of scientific and technological level can adapt to the continuous development of Bank of Inner Mongolia. At the same time, it needs to combine with constructions of information technology, business data analysis, integrated business management and risk control systems for enhancing ’the efficiency and rigor of sustainable business development and management. Fifth, as a major shareholder and local authorities, the local government played an essential role in restructuring and promoting of Bank of Inner Mongolia. With the driving force of local government, Bank of Inner Mongolia must pay attention to avoid the negative impact of administrative intervention, make sure merger and reorganize with market principles.During the Bank of Inner Mongolia is now transforming strategic, only the correct, effective and viable development strategy can help the business of Bank of Inner Mongolia to go out of the region, then to go nationwide.
