Entrepreneurial motivation is a planned and targeted thought or conduct thatformed at the beginning of the entrepreneurship, which is aiming at achieving someparticular purpose. It directs for the whole entrepreneurial development during theprocess of undertaking a business, and is the entrepreneurs’ original motivation andinner shot point. Student entrepreneurs are quick-witted and have a distinctive thoughtwith various entrepreneurial ideas, but they are easy to be influenced by the surroundingenvironments. The thesis is aiming at finding out the characters and connections ofcollege students’ entrepreneurial motivation and environment, thinking the methods ofpromoting college students’ motivation by means of optimizing the entrepreneurialenvironment, in order to encourage more college students to step on the road ofbecoming self-employed.The thesis, which firstly targets both at college students who are already inentrepreneurship and those intend to enter the field, explores the similarities anddifferences of their entrepreneurial motivation and recognitions to the entrepreneurialenvironment so as to find out the inner relationship between the two. By comparing thedifferences, we can find the methods of epitomizing the entrepreneurial environmentand promote the college students’ entrepreneurial passion. The result of the researchshows that students’ entrepreneurial motivations have changed a lot; they no longermainly devote themselves into earning money and wealth quickly, but focus onpolishing skills and gaining social identities. As a whole, the differences inentrepreneurial motivation between two sexes is small, but male’s the living need andupgrading need are higher than female; on the aspect of cultivation, the living need forjunior college students is higher than undergraduate students, master-degree studentsand doctoral students, while undergraduate students have the highest influencing need.On the recognition of the entrepreneurial environment, there is a remarkable differencebetween students now being self-employed and students ready to be self-employed.Self-employed students’ satisfaction to entrepreneurial environment is much lower thanthe students who are ready to be self-employed; it implies that authorities should betterup students’ entrepreneurial environment as a way to promote college students’entrepreneurial passion. The thesis also finds that there is a difference among studentswith different education degrees on recognition of entrepreneurial environment.Doctoral students’ recognition of policy environment is higher than junior collegestudents, undergraduate students and master-degree students, while master-degreestudents have the highest recognition on educational environment than the other threegroups.By above discussion, the writer gives some tactics to enhance college students’entrepreneurial motivation. Firstly, authorities should optimize the construction ofentrepreneurial education, which means strengthen the power of the teachers’ team and coloring the forms of entrepreneurial courses; strengthen the relations of theentrepreneurial educations from all levels; hold various entrepreneurial designscompetitions. Secondly, intensify the political supports and propaganda. Let as manycollege students as possible know the latest political supports through television,broadcast and news papers etc.; on the basis of the political support, pay regular visits tostudent entrepreneurs in order to find out their problems and needs during starting theirbusiness; amend related regulations and principles to prevent students from being takenadvantages of others. Thirdly, create a favorable entrepreneurial social environment,which includes not the supports from college students’ families and friends but thewhole society’s views to their entrepreneurial practice. Fourthly, establishentrepreneurial withdrawal mechanism. College students’ entrepreneurial activities haverisks. The failures of starting their business may cause heavy spiritual burdens to them,or influence the development of their future career, so the authorities and governmentshould establish a withdrawal mechanism in order to give them necessary helps.
