Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore and construct a model of collegestudents’ entrepreneurial competency, investigate its relation with entrepreneurialperformance, and the mediating effect of "Guanxi" on entrepreneurial competence andperformance.Methods Literature review, in-depth interview and open-ended questionnaire weremethods applied in this paper, and base on that. A questionnaire named "collegestudents’ entrepreneurial competence questionnaire" is developed to investigateentrepreneurs in school or graduated in Guangdong province. Theme analysis is usedto analyze qualitative data, and SPSS19.0and AMOS18.0for quantitative data, CFAto build up the model of college students’ entrepreneurial competency, path analysis toinvestigate its relation with entrepreneurial performance and the mediating effect of"Guanxi" on entrepreneurial competence and performance.Conclusion (1) Entrepreneurial competency of College students is defined by sevendimensions: opportunity competency, relationship competency, conceptualcompetency, organizational competency, strategic competency, commitment andlearning competency.(2) College students’ entrepreneurial competency have asignificant impact on entrepreneurial performance.(3) Entrepreneurs "Guanxi" have acertain effect on performance.(4)"Guanxi" is the intervening variable betweenentrepreneurial competency and performance. |
