Inner-lake of city is an important water systems, the tourism of city’s inner-lake is mainly based on the natural and cultural resources in tourism activities. Inner-lake tourism in city is a integrated tourism destination witch combined of human and natural factors. This paper will combined the sense of place and the tourism of city’s inner-lake, one is for carding the sense of place theories and the related concepts; two is understanding the tourists’sense of place in city’s inner-lake; three is discussing the practical significance of the sense of place to the tourism development.The study of geography stresses from the aspect of the sense of place to explore the relationship between man and the environment. People’s perception of the environment changes in different environment. Similarly, the sense of place could be used to study the emotion relationship between travelers and Tourism destinations. Author had draw on the research results of Researchers at home and abroad, and analysed the characteristics of the case place and division the sense of place into four dimensions to explores the overall features of the sense of place:natural landscape, cultural landscape, tourism functions, cultural identity.Conclusions of the study are as follows:(1) Different from the general lake not only in the geographical location and culture degree, when it takes as a tourist destination, it has a strong local representative based on its cultural connotation and local residents’ emotional attachment.(2) Tourists’ sense of place in four dimensions and each contents are different. Yangzhou slender West Lake has a high Local perceptions evaluation as a whole, but the strongest sense of place dimension is the cultural landscape.(3) Different demographic characteristics and behavior of tourists has a different cognition degree on each dimension. Tourists who are older, higher educated or more familiar with local have a stronger cultural identity.(4) Tourists’cultural identity degree to the destination has an effect on tourists’ willingness of revisit and recommend.(5) There are no pure natural scenery. The charm of a scenic largely depends on its rich cultural heritage to maintain. No culture, no vitality.
