Comparative Study On Sense Of Place Between Tourists And Locals

Sense of Place is an important factor affecting tourism plan and develop.Since the 1970 s,the theory of Sense of Place has been born in the westward,and developed quickly in China since the 1990 s.Comparative Study is a key point in researches of Sense of Place both in China and abroad.As the most famous mountain in Jilin,there are thousands of tourists coming here to visit Changbai mountain,especially the west area,with a long history and well-equipped service,millions of tourists come and have fun,building their sense through facilities,services and sightseeing.Facing this case,locals have to change their daily life,and sense of course.There must be differences between tourists and residents,which may influence the coming development of the west area of Changbai mountain.In the view of this situation,the author did a research,surveying the sense of place on the west area of Changbai mountain of tourists and locals,analyzed their similarity and otherness,tried to offer some suggestions for the west scenic spot.This paper consists of five parts.In the first part,the author introduces the differences of sense between tourists and locals,puts forward the background and significance of this research,and then puts forward the ideas and methods of this research.In the second part,the author states the general situations of the west area of Changbai mountain,analyses its local characteristics,including magical peaks and lakes,mysterious forests,unique folk culture,and economic development.In the third part,the author puts forward the research hypothesis,establishs the basis of this research,then designs and carries out credible and effective document research,questionnaire survey,participant observation and depth interview.In the fourth part,the author sorts out and analyses the data,induces and analyses the essential features,overall features and different characters of tourists and locals on sense of place.In the last part,the author summarizes this research,discovers the shortages of the west scenic spot,throws out some suggestions.In the sixth part,the author summarizes the paper.
