In recent years, the insurance market has an remarkable development.the insurance companies has mainly growing, premiums have been expanding gradually, the market ructure has been improved, but in Anhui province the insurance market lack an loca(?) insurance company, while at the same time, agricultural insurance is an important part of modern agriculture, the development of agricultural insurance is the trend, in this case, Guo Yuan agricultural insurance company came into being established. Guo Yuan agricultural insurance company has an great significance to Anhui province as an major agricultural province. Guo Yuan agricultural insurance company not only do the main agricultural insurance business services in agriculture, but also vigorously develop the Commercial insurance to achieve the development of competition in the market, it should develop a clear corporate strategy of development. The Guo Yuan insurance company have developed a "three-steps" development strategy. The first step is to cover the main area of the Anhui province completely in1-3years; The second step is to lay out branches in the neighboring provinces in3-5years, to make the company has become a regional agricultural insurance company with certain strength; the third step is to build the innovative company which have adequate capital, and advanced management, first-class service, good benefits good and outstanding brands.From the analysis of the effects, perhaps it is not very good. Anhui agriculture feature is that agricultural disasters have a larger loss, and commercial insurance market is highly competitive, that maybe leads to the fact that Guo Yuan insurance company did not reach the established goals, there still have a long way to go to the intended development goals. Therefore, we believe that the research based on the strategic height has a great practical significance to Guo Yuan insurance company.This thesis is based on the Strategic theory of management and on the background of the development in Anhui Province and insurance career, used Guo Yuan agricultural insurance company as the research object.In the thesis we will use the PEST analysis, five forces models, SWOT model to analysis the external environment, from the point of view of the macro and industry. From the aspects of corporate resources, capabilities and management conditions, the thesis analysis the condition of the company’s internal environment, make the competitive advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats of Guo Yuan insurance company, and make a proposal of specific development strategies of differentiation and recommendations.The first chapter introduces the main research background, significance, research Contents, and research methods. The second chapter is a theoretical review of the theory of corporate strategy and analysis models. The third chapter introduced the basic situation of the States Agricultural Insurance Company, using SWOT, PEST analysis model to analyst their development environment and their own resources. The forth chapter is point out that the company must use the differentiation strategy in order to effectively maintain the competitiveness in the market of Anhui province And gives the implementation of recommendations contains the product, brand, internal control, human resources.The fifth chapter describes the main conclusions and gives analysis of the thesis limitations and shortcomings.
