Party and the state has attached greatimportance to this issue and has been working to explore a road with Chinese characteristics,housing support in line with China’s national conditions and development.20century, China’s housing construction and real estate economy has maintained rapiddevelopment, the living conditions of urban residents has been greatly improved in general,housing conditions earth-shaking changes have taken place. China’s urban per capita residentialfloor space in1978to6.7square meters to18.7square meters in1998,2007, to28square meters.On the other hand, high prices of urban housing, low-income families can not buy commercialhouses, face housing dilemma, life satisfaction is declining. The level of development around theextremely uneven level of housing "wealth" gap is widening, aroused great concernRequired to improve the housing of people’s livelihood is growing.Since2004, Ganzhou City in response to national initiatives conform to the livelihood ofdrawing on foreign experience in building housing security practice, combined with theirpractical, low-cost housing and so vigorously promote construction of affordable housing,housing support work and actively explore new ideas, and gradually built The new system ofhousing security. According to the new policy orientation in accordance with the "greatprotection, full coverage" of the idea of "government-led, sector co-operation of the market,social participation," the principle of building a low-rent housing Shiwupeizu to the mainAffordable housing, squatter settlements (inhabitable houses) transformation, the new publicapartments, public rental housing, rental of apartment, low-cost second-hand shops and tradingactivity to supplement the ordinary commercial housing and other forms with "Ganzhoucharacteristics" of the housing security system.
