The Study On The Urban And Rural Integration Development Of Suzhou City

Urban and rural integration development is a process of comprehensive reform andinnovation, also the inevitable law of social productivity and the requirement ofcomprehensive human development. Pursuing and building a reasonable urban and ruralrelationship has always been the main line throughout the development of Chinese society.To eliminate the urban-rural dual structure is the strategic task of achieving scientificdevelopment and building a well-off society. How to promote urban and rural integrationdevelopment properly has been the research focus of many scholars and governmentdepartments. So this Paper takes the urban and rural integration development of SuzhouCity for the research object, and through the analysis of the current situation this paperprovides proposals for the further development of urban and rural integration in SuzhouCity or even China.The main content and viewpoints of this paper include: The chapter1, introduces thebackground, significance, idea and methods of the paper, and describes the possibility ofinnovation and weaknesses of this paper. The chapter2, profoundly expounds the domesticand international theory and practice of urban and rural integration, and draws inspirationin order to provide reference for the study of the subsequent chapters. The chapter3,combined with the historical background and objectives of Suzhou City, this papersummarizes a series of innovative practice adopted in urban and rural integration process,referred to the practical innovation, in order for empirical research and experience of thesubsequent chapters. The chapter4,by building comprehensive index system of urban andrural integration and using principal component analysis, this paper displays the status andachievements of urban and rural integration, and uses comparative labor productivity, dualcoefficient, urban and rural residents Engel difference coefficient and income difference coefficient of Suzhou City in1999-2000to analyze empirical result,concludes the closerelationship between practical innovation and urban and rural integration, also concludesthe experience through these practical innovation for learning in China.
