A Research On The Order To Cash Process Reengineering Of N Company Based On ERP

With the deepening of China’s reform and the trend of global economic integration and economic globalization, the business environment of Chinese enterprises are undergoing dramatically changes. Enterprise faced the pressure of the survival and development which forced enterprise operators must actively reform, through the self-improvement, promotes the enterprise the competitive ability. The reform of the enterprise management mode whose main content is BPR (Business Process Reengineering) and the reform of the management method which remains ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system application as the main platform are together called the revolution of "Digital Management" in the21st century. BPR needs the support of the ERP system, and the implementation of ERP also requires the coordination and the guarantee of the BPR. Therefore, the promotion of both BPR and ERP is a prerequisite for the success of an enterprise.The research object of this paper is the process reengineering of N company’s OTC (Order to Cash). In this paper, the author discusses how the ERP system can be used in creating and realizing the OTC process reengineering with the idea of analyzing its existing process, designing a new process, and then implementing the new process, with ERP system as the implementation tool and operation platform of the process reengineering. The current paper firstly expounds upon the general theory of BPR and ERP and the relationship between them, as well as the necessity of them for the management reform of an enterprise. Next the paper introduces the background, the present operation situation, as well as the original OTC process of N company and then analyzes the main problems of the original OTC process and designs a process reengineering scheme aiming to solve those problems. Finally, this essay discusses how to use ERP system along with its moderate second development to realize the OTC process reengineering scheme, and also discusses the successful implementation and result feedback of the scheme.China is confronted with an economic transformation period, the background and the operating problems of N company are of representativeness and universality to some extent. By writing the current paper,the author hopes to provide possible reference and make some contributions to improving the management efficiency and enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises which share the similar background with N company in how to make full use of ERP system implementation to successfully realize the process reengineering of the enterprise.
