Application Of BIM In Three Main Objectives Of Project Management

As the mainstay industry of national economy, the development of buildingindustry has been placed greater emphasis. But because that the existing method andtool of project management has its limitations, to cause the low efficiency of three mainobjectives management of construction project, even the efficiency of building industryhas been influenced. The generation and introduction of BIM brought a new revolutionto building industry. It restored the3D original appearance of architectural design, usedthe tridimensional model which contained luxuriant building information to manage theconstruction of building, let the numerous participants of project cooperate effectually,changed the approaches to cooperation and organization structure, and played a positiverole in the life cycle.In order to improve the problem that exist in the current three main objectives ofproject management, and to improve the efficiency of the management work, this articleused“Application of BIM in Three Main Objectives of Project Management”as thedirection. Through literature research, qualitative analysis and case studies, the articleanalyzed the current situation of project’s three main objectives management,enumerated the problems which existed in the current management measure and thereasons why these problems arose. While the article used BIM into three mainobjectives of project management, thus reflect BIM’s superiority. This article alsoanalyzed the degrees of those problems were solved used by BIM, and expounded theproblems and challenges of BIM’s development in China, finally.Through analyzing, the article obtained the advantages, limitations, and obstaclesof BIM in the domestic three main objectives of project management. Used BIM canhelp project manager to treat the three main objectives effectually, thereby enhancingthe efficiency of project management, so that enable the building industry to serve fornational economy preferably.
