To protect the safety of food is one of the important contents of government public service. It not only relates to Chinese people’s health quality but also relates to our nations longtime safety. It is an important symbol of our public service standard and quality.This thesis research on food safety regulation in order to resolve the problem of food production field. It expounds the development and current situation of food safety regulation in China and indicates the problems. Comparing the food safety regulation of developed nations and summing up some experience. This thesis puts some methods to solve these questions in food production field through investigation of food safety supervision. Take Fengxian district of Shanghai municipality for example, this thesis analyzes the problem and the reason of the food safety in production field, indicating some outstanding problems of food safety supervision and putting forward the countermeasures by using the food safety regulation theory. Meanwhile, this thesis brings forward some countermeasures of the Quality Technical Supervision Bureau’s food safety supervision function by using social regulation theory. It came to the conclusion that the supervision department must improve the systems of food safety and intensify the effect of basic supervision department.
