The Research Of Huang Yizhong’s Archive Science Thought

Mr. Huang Yizhong is one of the most famous archivists and library scientists from People’s Republic of China. He devoted his life to academic researching on archival science and library science and promoting the development of establishment on archives and libraries. His main contribution on academic research includes the basic theorem of archival science and library science and applications on this two aspects. Considering Mr. Huang’s significant place in this two research fields, doing research on the spirit of Mr. Huang’s academic thoughts will benefit the further development on archival science and library science.In this thesis, we try to reproduce the procedure of Mr. Huang’s academic thought formation and its background based on literature researching, interviewing and comparative study.This thesis is constructed by three chapters.Chapter one, introduction, we chiefly introduce the thoughts and methods that are used and the background of this research.Chapter two, the main body of this thesis which consists of four parts.In part one, we firstly introduce the life story of Mr. Huang and his study experience. Then we list some of the most representative events in Mr. Huang’s research career while analyzing the literature of Mr. Huang. Additionally, we summarize the domestic and overseas research actuality on this research area. Finally, we come up with the conclusion that the research on Mr. Huang’s academic thoughts is insufficient at present, which in converse prove the value of our research.Part two mainly present our research on Mr. Huang’s academic thoughts on archival science. Works can be unfolded into two aspects. In the first aspect, we analyze the Mr.Huang’s thoughts on the basic theorem of archival science. In another aspect, works about analyzing Mr. Huang’s thoughts on archives management theory are also been done. According to the his book which is called "archives management theory and practice" and the background at that time, we do comparative study on the difference on his thoughts and other researcher’s.Part three aim at analyzing the thoughts of Mr. Huang on books catalogue. As the extend of his academic thoughts, the books catalogue method that he proposed is of great significance on this research field and represent his management theory on library science. Referring to his book which is called books "catalogue on library science", we make detailed research on his thoughts of books catalogue.In part four, we introduce Mr. Huang’s thoughts about learning and scholarship, which reflect the his attitude on academic research from another side and construct the whole framework of his academic thoughts.Chapter three, conclusion, in this chapter, we summarize the works that we have done on this research and propose the future work that we will cover. By emphasizing on the importance of further research on Mr. Huang’s academic thoughts, we point out some suggestion about future work which include enhancing on the research of related subjects, combining the individual thoughts on archival science and trends of subject development, enhancing the collection of historic literature, the depth research on archival science.
