Dynamic Forces Of Science And Technology On The Evolution Of Archive Carriers In Our Country

China has a long history of 5000 years, during which the Chinese people have developed their own civilization and left numerous historic and original documents-documents of archives.With the development of science and technology and the changing of the society, the archive carriers in our country have always been changing, going through the evolution of archives on oracle bones, bronze scripts, stone inscriptions, bamboo and wooden slips, silks, papers, audio and video recordings and the electronic archives. During the evolution, science and technology played a very important and pushing role.This thesis tries to discuss two problems:one is the dynamic forces that science and technology exerted upon the process of the evolution of archive carriers in our country, i.e. why science and technology could play such an important role during the evolution of archive carriers in our country. The other is the forms of representation of this kind of pushing role exerted by science and technology, i.e. how science and technology exerted its pushing role during the evolution of archive carriers in our country.Based on the above purposes, in chapter one this thesis firstly summarized the process of evolution of archive carriers in our country and in the sequence of time, archives on oracle bones, bronze scripts, stone inscriptions, bamboo and wooden slips, silks, papers, audio and video recordings and the electronic archives and their characteristics were introduced in detail. And then, different kinds of materials of archive carriers-tortoiseshells and animal bonesâ†'bronzesâ†'stonesâ†'bamboo slips, wooden slipsâ†'silksâ†'papersâ†'records, audio tapes, video cassettes, photographic negatives, and film strips, etcâ†'cassettes, discs, CDs were also introduced respectively and in detail and the preliminary research and study were made on their characteristics, which paved the way for the succeeding analysis and discussion.Commencing from the discussion and analysis of the concept of science and technology and the relationship and influence between archives work and "material civilization" and "spiritual civilization", and guided by the scientific theory of dialectical materialism-the cause of the development of things lies in its contradictoriness, chapter two specifically analyzed the three contradictions that appeared in the process of evolution of archive carriers in our country and deeply discussed the role that science and technology played in the process of solving the three contradictions, thus scientifically answered the question of why science and technology could play such an important role in the process of evolution of archive carriers.Adopting the viewpoint of dialectical materialism-thing's development is eventually represented by the development and progress of material civilization and spiritual civilization, chapter three analyzed and drew the conclusion that the pushing of science and technology on the evolution of archive carriers in our country was also represented by two aspects-tangible realization and intangible realization. Under the framework of tangible realization and intangible realization, this chapter specifically analyzed the concrete forms of representation of the pushing role of science and technology, thus scientifically answered the question of how science and technology played its pushing role in the process of evolution of archive carriers in our country.By a deep analysis and discussion of dynamic system and realization that science and technology exerted its pushing role upon in the process of evolution of archive carriers in our country, this thesis tries to be beneficial in the process of our understanding of the source and development of archives, thus provides some meaningful inspiration and reference for the discussion of the influence of science and technology upon archival undertaking and archives work.
