With the rapid development of the national economy, our country has entered the modern era of electricity and electronics, microelectronic devices and the application of information technology has become more and more popular, therefore, the economic loss caused by lightning is increasing and the influence becomes more widely, so the development of lightning detection and early warning forecast method becomes a very urgent task. The lightning monitoring and positioning system has been widely used in various fields and has important application value in lightning protection, lightning warning and forecasting, but also has some limitations with its function.To solve the above problem, this paper analyzes the development and status of the single station lightning monitoring system, then designed a multi-functional integrated visualization platform of lightning information. A suitable hardware platform has been chosen according to the system’s hardware and software performance, and various functional modules have been designed, such as the format of data stream, data extraction, data split and data storage, etc. At last, implement the system based on the designed module with development software. After the simulation tests and field tests, verified the functionality and reliability of the platform and found some inadequacies, these provide direction for the follow-up study to achieve.In this article, the difficulty of the design is achieving the function of each module while ensuring the coordination of individual modules with limited resources, the most important is to ensure the data is not lost in case of data processing, include data split and store, display of extracted information, etc. Also use the GPS time to match the stored data for further research.
