The Implement Of Adapter Layer In Td-Scdma Ue Protocol Testing Platform

Currently, the3rd generation communication technology has been the dominant of the telecommunications industry in China. TD-SCDMA, which proposed by China, occupies a pivotal position in the telecommunication industry, and the demand for terminals that support TD-SCDMA is increasing rapidly. Although the standardization of TD-SCDMA protocols of Release4to Release7has been finished, and the HSPA+protocol standard is under working, protocol test on UE is still the insurance of UE’s performance and network’s reliability. Protocol test could verify the protocol conformance of the implementation, and also verify the ability and capability of some protocol functions, which is one of the important links in TD-SCDMA industry.TD-SCDMA UE protocol testing platform support both protocol conformance test and user-define protocol test. Test cases written by TTCN-2could run on the testing platform, which also provide log tracking and result analysis, etc. The function characteristics of the platform contain completeness, compatibility, user openness, and expansibility. The software architecture of testing platform is consisting of physical layer software, driver, lower layer protocol software, high layer protocol software and user interface control software. And the high layer protocol software contains TTCN-2protocol testing part and adapter layer software.In this paper, according to the function characteristics of the platform, and the requirement of the TTCN-2protocol testing part, first of all, the author analyzed the main function of the adapter layer, designed the software architecture, multi-thread structure of the adapter layer. Then, implemented the threads and function modules of the software. At last, the paper verified the correctness of the encoding and decoding part of the adapter layer through unit test, verified the correctness of other parts of the adapter layer, the performance of the software, the supporting to the function characteristics of the platform by designing and implementing couple of test cases.
