In recent years, along with the vigorous development of mobile communication technology,3G has become a huge potential emerging market. TD-SCDMA, as a 3 GPP standard launched by China, will undoubtedly bring more vitality to Chinese 3G market. Meanwhile, all manufactures are facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. How to accelerate the TD products' development and ensure their quality is becoming a vital part of R&D process. Automatic test can not only improve quality of products, performance of systems to reduce bugs caused by defects of software, but also increase the efficiency to obtain large market share and high profits.The thesis is mainly about the automatic test for NodeB devieces located in UTRAN. And it proposes a new plan of automatic test platform. Firstly, the thesis introduces the technology of TD-SCDMA and the hardware and software structure of the NodeB. Secondly, it analyzes demands of automatic test platform. Thirdly, according to the demands, it achieves the design of automation test platform using TTCN-3. Finally, it illustrates an application of automation test platform. This platform increases testing efficiency for NodeB and provides more intuitive and easier way to make statistics on test results.
