Nowadays, the number of wireless products is increasing, and because of its agility for use and convenience in carrying, it’s not only play an increasingly important role in network, but also used in more and more widely areas, such as family AP, Smart phone, EBook, and so on. However, wireless network also has brought more hidden danger. Due to the late start of wireless network communication, it has more hidden security problem which may be illegally used by hackers. Therefore, the research of wireless network security is very important, and it relates to the safety of everyone’s daily life.Denial of Service (DoS) is one of the most popular and harmful methods of wireless attacks. In order to have a close insight of DoS attacking on wireless network, researchers need to adopt wireless network simulation technology and analyze the aggressive behavior, so as to find loophole and defense method timely, that is to say, to improve the research efficiency and the security of the wireless network. This paper analyzes the current wireless security mechanisms and protocols, research actuality, the denial of service attack types that WLAN may encounter, introduces a simulation system based on Emulab. By analyzing the characteristics of various kinds of simulation technology, this paper concluded that among these methods, Emulab technology can simulates more layers of the network protocol as well as more services than NS2, OPNET, which meet the requirements of our research. Based on the study, this paper designs and implements a network simulation system based on Emulab and integrates with SEER which developed by DETERlab, and develops a wireless module for wireless security research. At last, this paper analyses the function and performance of the system with several experiments.Simulation system in this paper has a more comprehensive range of simulation scene, and higher fidelity than software simulators like NS2due to the integration of Emulab open source system, local hardware resources and the SEER modules. The system effectively simulates the wireless network and successfully achieves the design goal. So, the platform will play a more and more important role in wireless network security product development, security analysis, security education, training and other fields and, at the same time, plays a promoting role in the application of simulation technology for the wireless network security research.
