With the advent and growing of the Internet, computer networks have become indispensable platforms in people’s working communication. Enterprises’development is inseparable from the networks, when a company develops to a certain scale, inevitably the company will have geographical branch organizations. With the rapid development economy, more and more enterprises set up regional branch organizations. Because of the advantage that the networks are not limited by geographical distribution, enterprise platform with branch organizations gets more and more attention. Thus, they can solve the problem of staff’s resource shared in branch organizations. The performance and transport security of branch networks become hot content in current study.In a traditional network with a branch structure, when users of branch organizations want to obtain the file information of headquarters, they achieve the visiting purpose through a wide area networks connection. But this method has poor performance. Users have to waste a long time waiting. It heavily relies on wide area networks, and it also adds the burden of wide area networks. Study on how to reduce the utilization ratio of wide area networks becomes hot content. In addition, as the files can only be shared within a company and involve the company’s confidentiality, security is an important factor to consider.Branch Cache, a new technology, is offered by Windows7and Windows Server2008R2. It can reduce the connections with wide area networks and enhance the response ability of networks application. Use store remote file in the local branch networks through wide area networks, and then they can visit the files again via local access in the future. Branch Cache can provide the branch office users the experience of connecting directly to the central office. The file encoding technology of Branch Cache use SHA-2hash function and the data compression rate is1/2000, and this reduces the transmission bandwidth, improves transfer rate, saves time and bandwidth resources, increases office efficiency and ensures security.The main works of this paper have the following several points:1. Analyzing the framework, key technologies and work mode of Branch Cache;2. Analyzing the file encoding technology based on Branch Cache, studying on the method of decomposition, finding and access of data, and Analyzing the hash algorithm;3. Analyzing five protocols of Branch Cache’s protocol family, including the relationship between the protocols, message syntax, attribute and so on.4. Designing and realizing the file encoding technology tools based on Branch Cache, dividing file’s metadata into segment and block by this encoding technology. Segment and block are used in A company’s test protocol family, including MS-PCCRC, MS-PCCRD, MS-PCCRTP, MS-PCHC and MS-PCCRR. This communication data in the project is generated by the tools described.in this paper.5. Testing the features and performance of file encoding tool based on Branch Cache, mainly testing the accuracy and availability of the tool.
