With the development of Science and technology, people concerns more about their Convenience and put it above anything else. Therefore, all kinds of technology come up which will surely lead to a high level of people’s life, including RFID.The acronym ’RFID’ stands for Radio-Frequency Identification,it’s a technology that uses radio-frequency electromagnetic fields to transfer data, for the purposes of automatically identifying or tracking tags attached to objects.Since the1990’s,the technology of RFID develops rapidly and becomes widely used all over the world.UHF RFID system is a RFID system operating at frequencies between860MHz-960MHz. With longer access range, lower costs of labels, Good performance in data transmission and in environments with high tag density. UHF RFID system has been standing up in the RFID world. In China, people have realized the importance of UHF RFID system these years and they begin to get interested in the development of UHF RFID system.Due to a late start and lag in technology, the whole industry in our country is still trying to stay close to the world. We still have a long way to go before we grasp the whole technology of the design of UHF RFID chip. Therefore,a multi-protocol UHF RFID baseband signal processing IP core with lower cost, Reusability as well as flexibility is come up with to achieve the goal of develop our own kind of UHF RFID reader which should meet ISO/IEC18000-6B and ISO/IEC18000-6C protocol specifications. This project is key part of UHF RFID interrogator baseband signal processing SoC system, which focuses on the key technology of the processing of UHF RFID signals. In this project, the whole IP core is modularly designed in verilog and after functional simulation, the IP core should be tested in Altera DE2-115developing board which is meant to interrogate ISO/IEC18000-6B and ISO/IEC18000-6C Tags.
