RFID which is short of Radio Frequency Identification has been quickly developed into anon-contact automatic identification technology in the past two or three decades. RFID containscomputer communication network technology, radio frequency identification, sensor technology asone of the internet of things industry. Basic RFID system includes electronic tags, the readers,middleware and application software components. Readers and tags communicate viaelectromagnetic waves. Now, RFID technology as a new technology has made an indeliblecontribution on economy, society, national defense,etc.The reader as a core component in RFID system, plays an indispensable role for the radiofrequency identification. The baseband part of reader is taken up the whole system of data signalcoding and decoding function, besides system security which based on the research of the RFIDsystem constructed in the case.The thesis researched the RFID technology, based on EPC globalC1G2protocol of the UHF RFID reader baseband part. The thesis used Quartus II simulationsoftware based on Alrera in the baseband simulation of main module of the reader, verify itscorrectness.The main work of this thesis is as below:1、It briefly introduces the background and importance of researching RFID system, along withthe present domestic and overseas research status.2、This paper introduces the working principle of RFID system and introduces the application ofEPC C1G2standard, after that, the thesis designs the RFID digital baseband module based on EPCC1G2protocol.3、This paper introduces the channel filter of RFID system,besides it describes amplitudedetection and the generation process of digital signal,finally anti-collision algorithm for ALOHA isdiscussed.4、Describes the working principle and design idea of the main part of RFID reader baseband indetail, then based on the QuartusII simulation software, we use VHDL language to simulate themodules.
