With the development of urbanization and the popularization of information techno logy in China, more and more high-rises are built in our cities. The communication envi ronments in these building are usually poor and the blind area of communication is large In these environments, there is often not enough system capacity, meanwhile, with poor voice quality. On the other hand, with the popularity of mobile phone and other mobile communication terminals, communication high quality is expected gradually. The contr adiction between poor communication quality and high expert is one of the most import ant questions that telecoms carriers need to deal with. How to solve this problem becom e the key point of wining customers and service improvement.Meanwhile, the3G network is now being built in an all-round manner in China, an d indoor coverage of3G systems should be done immediately. However the resource for wiring conduit and placement of coverage device is limited. In addition, cost of invest ment and avoiding duplicate construction should be considered. The necessity and the ur gency of Indoor wiring system construction become more crucial.Starting from the composition of the indoor distribution system, this thesis elaborat es and analyzes the foundation, network model and the technique request of the systems.How to design indoor distribution systems and how to test out these designs are also co nsidered in our thesis.In this thesis, we discuss the fundamental theory of indoor distribution system in G SM and WCDMA. We focus on the design procedure of this system and combined meth ods in2G and3G. On this basis, with an example of Bank of China tower in Yantai, we complete the design of the indoor distribution system, considering the technical require ments, the design requirements and the construction requirements. Finally, test and opti mization for the system is done, after completing the system construction.
