With the development at full speed of the PHS communication business, people need deliver a large number of voices in the place such as commercial building, star hotel, the supermarket or the conference hall etc. In coverage of these areas, because of shielding of the building itself and absorption function, which cause a lot of wireless transmission loss and lead to weak intensity movement in the field district which even brings blind signal in those areas. In capacity, the PHS subscribers of these areas use the density to be large, some capacity of network can't meet the user's needs; In quality, the skyscraper is more and more intensive, many district signals overlap and cause Ping-Pong impact, as the result it is difficult to guarantee the speech quality. The coverage of radio network, the capacity and the quality are key factors that Fuzhou telecommunication obtains the competition advantage, on the other hand the service level of these key factors also reflects the PHS network fundament and they are the principal part of optimizing the work of all mobile networks.According to building structure characteristic and the development of the PHS network in Fuzhou, the article compares and summarizes several kinds of the indoor coverage methods these years. It also indicates the most effective solution for the coverage of PHS indoor network, and it is significant to the development of the PHS communication undertaking of Fuzhou.The paper introduces the bid-directional repeater in the main line which is applied to optimization of indoor coverage system in Fuzhou. The paper studies the key factors carefully including the choice of cell stations, the estimation and analysis of electric field intensity in coverage area, the choice of bid-directional repeater in main line, upgrade in the future, the optimization show and the estimation method of indoor coverage system. The article has been analyzed to the indoor coverage system solution of Fuzhou, and provides the constructive and practical solution to indoor coverage.The paper has introduced practical optimization in MINDONG building and NEW CITY GARDEN SQUARE. Thus it is significantly helpful for people to solve the practical problem. Now the indoor coverage system has been applied to the optimization work in Fuzhou PHS network. It is hopeful that it can be used in reference to some people engaged in the work.
