With the development of information science and technology, the concept of digital life is becoming more and more popular. Notebooks, smart phones, PAD and smart TVs enter into millions of households, and the process of home informatization accelerates. With the improvement of digital home technologies, the digital home industry comes into real practice stage and begins to penetrate into people’s lives. Though interconnection and resources sharing between devices, people can control all kinds of devices conveniently. Meanwhile, new applications on smart terminal based on home network interconnection bring us a lot of fresh entertainment experience.In the context of Three Networks Convergence, screen sharing comes into our sight. More and more manufacturers begin to increase investment in order to gain market share. Taking advantages of multi-network and multi-terminal, it provides interactive services of audio, video and other information between different terminals.As a realization form of screen sharing, screen transmission means that the screen display content of one terminal is instantly transmitted to another terminal to show via a wired or wireless network. Through screen transmission, the media processing capabilities of sending end and the media rendering capabilities of receiving end will be used effectively. It can be used in our life everywhere. Screen transmission is a new application of the digital home, but streaming media and embedded technology which it depends on is mature.According to the current development status of digital home, in this thesis, aiming at the application of screen transmission, we research on streaming media key technologies involved in screen transmission, and analyse the new video encoder H.264and MPEG-2TS transport stream. On this basis, we design the solution of screen transmission system, and implement it on embedded terminal.Here is the major work of this thesis:1. Research on streaming media key technologies involved in screen transmission. We analyse video encoding technology H.264and its characteristics when transmitted via network. Then we research on MPEG-2TS transport stream form, and analyse the process of packing and unpacking audio and video stream. 2. Build the platform to develop screen transmission and run it. First we research on development process of Da Vinci technology, and then transplant Android operating system to DM3730processor. The development environment of ARM+DSP dual-core is constructed.3. Design the solution of screen system, and implement it on embedded platform. The system is divided into two parts:one is called command channel, that is command interaction protocols, and the other part is called data channel, that is audio and video data transmission. We design the format and type of the command message, and logical interactive process, which can implement device discovery and connection. Each module of audio and video data transmission parts is detailed design and implemented. Eventually, we realized the screen transmission system, and it works well.In summary, based on the study of streaming media key technologies, we implement screen transmission system on embedded platform which has good market prospects. Meanwhile, the streaming media solution in this thesis also applys to other similar applications, and it provides an experimental platform for further study of the streaming media.
