In recent years, due to the fact that scientific and educational television programs ofculture and history have got outstanding educational value and aesthetic character, they havebeen thought highly of by professionals and developed rapidly. Under the premise of goodreputation given by audience, the hot topic of the professional researches is how to boostaudience ratings of the programs in order to increase market share and social influence. It is mostinstructive to make researches in the scientific and educational television programs of cultureand history in the aspects that how to employ narrative strategies to create new programs, how tomaintain the high audience ratings of gold brand programs and how to restructure the old brandsto adjust to the new situation.The writer of this thesis has read deeply in basic theory of literature and art, aesthetics ofreception, and introduction to movie appreciation, participated in national forum in2012, such asthe fourteenth session of the conference of film and television educational committee of Chinesehigher education, the media technology forum and exhibition of film and television, theAsia-Pacific summit of new media.The writer of this thesis also got an internship in TV Station.With the extensive collection of audience opinions, the writer has adopted literature method tocollect, identify, and research the literature to form a scientific understanding of the narrativestrategies. By resorting to recent literature, the writer of the thesis systematically analyze theliterature to get the support of theory formating the thesis. During the writing, the writer hasrepeatedly watched a great number of scientific and educational television programs of cultureand history, and used independent analysis method of programs and comparative analysismethod. To find out the successful narrative strategize to provide referential experiences to oldand new versions of the programs and various programs with same themes, the writer usedseveral programs as subjects, such as People, Lecture Room, Reading, Tenth Screening Room,Exploration and Discovery of CCTV-10along with National Archives of CCTV-4and CulturalForum of CCTV-1.This thesis includes an introduction as the first chapter and another six chapters. The second chapter is the summary of scientific and scientific and educational television programs ofculture and history and narrative strategies. It is divided into four parts regarding the definitionof the content of scientific and educational television programs of culture and history, and theclassification, evolution, and function of narrative strategies. The third chapter is the spirit ofhumanism of scientific and educational television programs of culture and history. It is dividedinto two parts regarding the selections of narrative pots of scientific and educational televisionprograms of culture and history and personality of popular entertainment. The forth chapter is thenarrative strategies using comprehensive art forms in scientific and educational televisionprograms of culture and history. It is divided into three parts regarding the strategies of the formof literature and arts, the strategies of the stage performance and the narrative strategies of otherforms of arts. The fifth chapter is the narrative strategies using western theory of literature andarts to create scientific and educational television programs of culture and history. It is dividedinto three parts regarding the narrative strategies of the deconstruction, narrative strategies of thenew cultural history, and the narrative strategies of dissemination of aesthetics. The sixth chapteris the narrative strategies of creating images in scientific and educational television programs ofculture and history. It is divided into two parts regarding the narrative strategies of the speakers’images and the narrative strategies of the image propaganda of the programs. The seventhchapter is the narrative strategies of commercial factors in scientific and educational televisionprograms of culture and history. It is divided into three parts regarding the narrative strategies ofthe selections of the advertisers and setting of the audience following by the narrative strategiesof the setting of holidays and the narrative strategies of values of arts and commercials. The lastpart is the conclusion of the thesis about the narrative strategies in the seven chapers. It pointedout the deficiency of the thesis and the developmental trend of research.
