Constantly updated wireless mobile communication technology, wireless data transfer rate is getting higher and higher, so people can enjoy facilitation services provide services by wireless mobile communication network. In the last two years, the converged of wireless mobile communications and the Internet, led the rapid development of wireless network location-based services. Location services refer to the combination of the Internet and electronic maps to provide location-based services for the user through the wireless network and the GPS satellites. Location service industry chain development faster and faster, related branches is more and more, one of the keys to location services industry sustainable development is to provide more accurate and comprehensive positioning location database for location-based services.Paper firstly introduces location-based services definition, classification and development at home and abroad, as well as road test systems for wireless network optimization development, discussed the composition of elements and basic architecture of the location-based services, analyze the principles of base stations’information gathering and the content collected,the base stations are working in existing wireless communication network(GSM, WCDMA, TD-S, WIFI), and positioning technology based on wireless communication networks and GPS. Analysis inaccurate positioning of the current location-based services, the location database is not comprehensive and not updated in a timely manner. Combined location positioning database needs and wireless network optimization system, proposes a multi-mode base station information collection system for location-based services to provide wireless network location database. Introduced the overall architecture of the system, the structure and work principle of the base station information collection system (server), handheld mobile terminal (client) needs analysis as well as its design and implementation, server and client communications through Bluetooth; focused on system implementation key technologies, including CodeVisionAVR-based implementation technologies of system functions, and client development based on the Android platform technology. Finally, evaluate the correctness of the system collecting information by comparing the information received by the phone under the current network at the same position.Finally, concludes the work have done to achieve multi-mode base station information collection system, as well as room for further improvement in the system and the space of system’ future development.The topic’s innovation lies in the combination of network optimization system characteristics and the positioning location database requirement of location-based services business, designed multi-mode base station information collection system, to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date positioning location database for location-based services business.
