With the development of3G technology, the global number of mobile subscribers has increased significantly, the mobile services has become diverse increasingly, the network traffic has increased rapidly, and the bearer has become IP-based gradually. These factors make the security of the3G network become an urgent problem. The good and bad of the3G system security are related to the normal use and promotion of the3G system, and related to the vital interests of the users, manufacturers and operators. The information security of3G systems will be a direct influence to the practicalization and promotion of the3G system. Therefore we should take defensive measures for the attacks that the3G network may suffer to improve the security, and reduce the loss of network attacks. Evaluating the3G network attack effectiveness is the most direct method to reflect the3G network security problems. The3G network attack effectiveness evaluation technology can test the security features of the object system through a simulated attack and evaluate the attack effectivess the object system. Meanwhile the attack effectiveness evaluation technology can provide the appropriate counterattack style and coping strategies when the network system has a malicious attack. Therefore this paper is going to make a foundation for the improvement of the3G system security by the study on the3G network attack effectiveness evaluation technology.This paper first introduces the development process of3G network, the three standard and the architecture of3G netwotk. Meanwhile the paper analyzes the3G network security, and divides its security into five parts:the network access security, network domain security, user domain security, application domain security, safetythe visibility and configurability. Then we analyzes thee threat and attack method of3G network.Then we introduces evaluation methods commonly used in the field of network attack effectiveness evaluation, including evaluation criteria and evaluation algorithm.Secondly, the paper proposes the evaluation indicator system of3G network attack effectiveness based on the analysis of the3G network.The indicator system is classfied by the attack methods.Each attack mode has its corresponding evaluation indicators. After the prorjosiion of the eyaluation system,we use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in subjective weighting method Method, the Entropy Weight Method in objective weighting method and the combination of subjective and objective weighting method based on AHP and Entropy Weight Method to calculate the weight of indicators, and select the weight values calculated by AHP and the combination of subjective and objective weighting method as the input of the evaluation algorithm. In this paper, we chose the gray relational analysis and fuzzy evaluation method as the evaluation algorithm to calculate the evaluation results.Finally, the paper makes experimental illustration of the four evaluation model based on the experimental data of three times Denial-of-Service attack.We use comprehensive weighting method and gray relational analysis model, comprehensive weighting method and fuzzy evaluation method model,analytic hierarchy process and gray relational analysis model, analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy evaluation method model to calculate the evaluation results, and compare the evaluation results of the four models.We can obtain the conclusion that the evaluation results of the four models are consistent. It both proves the validity of the model also proves the stability of the evaluation model.
