With the modern communication technology continues to progress, people experienced a gradual shift communication to digital from analog signals, and also has undergone enormous changes in the means of communication. Trace the origin of the people want to each other through technology advances, so capable of faster, better communication. This will require that the network construction process to be more scientific, more reasonable construction of base stations and configuration parameters. Thus emerged a large number of network planning software, the more well known abroad such as the French company FORSK Atoll, domestic, such as Hua Wei U-Net. The scientific network planning will bring great benefits to the construction of the base station, to avoid a lot of waste of resources to have a very positive impact on the operation and maintenance of the network.The focus of this paper is the validity of the gain of the antenna modeling and antenna the unlimited network planning software algorithm research. With the increasingly high demand for the accuracy of the data in the simulation, similar the antenna base module propagation model accuracy on particularly important. Wireless communication, for example, most of the simulation data error comes mainly from the antenna gain of the error propagation model calculation error. Any tiny error in these basic modules will have a huge impact on the subsequent coverage prediction, capacity simulation calculated. Therefore, in the base module error improve1dB, the means can be improved in subsequent calculations several dB or more. This paper proposes a new type of antenna three-dimensional calculation of the gain, an omnidirectional and directional antennas, for example, comparing the two antennas of the industry’s mainstream3D gain calculation results, the results show that, this paper presents a new antenna algorithm average standard error deviation on a more significant improvement, the results closer with the measured values too.This paper describes the impact of the evolution of the antenna and its important parameters. Subsequently, the paper summarizes the general planning tool modeling and designing of interface. On this basis the paper gives the outline design of the3D antenna modeling. Finally the paper describes the current status quo of the antenna gain calculation algorithm, and given two mainstream industry gain calculation, carried out a detailed analysis of the sources of error and two methods. On this basis, the paper presents a new antenna gain calculation method conceived and detailed formula derivation, eventually given the universal formula of the new algorithm. Detailed simulation data are given at the end of this paper, the new antenna algorithm has obvious improvement in the average error and the error standard deviation results closer with the measured values.
