The main function of the space direction-finding system(SDFS)is to find the position of the target radio equipment.The antenna in the SDFS is called direction-finding antenna(DFA).For the existing vehicle SDFSs,their biggest challenge is the low gain performance.The direction finding function might be significantly effected by noise interference when the target is far from the SDFS,even more in complex electromagnetic environment.In the other hand,in order to find the remote target in the sky,the ground sation SDFS put forward the requirements of high gain and high sidelobe suppression for the antenna.Besides,no matter what kind of antenna is concerned,the users always demand higher aesthetics and concealment.In view of the above problems,this paper will design DFAs with high gain and low profile for the vehicle SDFS and the ground station SDFS under different application scenarios.Specific content is divided into the following three parts:1.Combined with the actual working environment of the vehicle SDFS,according to the basic principle of antenna design,the design scheme of the vehicle DFA is developed.The antenna is divided into two parts: the main antenna and the auxiliary antenna.The main antenna and the auxiliary antenna are designed for different practical applications.2.The design and research of two vehicle DFAs are completed.The first called U-shaped vehicle DFA is used in rural areas and towns.In these situations,there are open space and less tall buildings.The high elevation are covered when it achieves the dual polarization as well.This antenna has been simulated and processing test;the second DFA is comprosed of double array.It was designed for the city of skyscrapers,compact pavement the scene.High elevation antenna in the DFA with high gain can respond well to bring the building walls' loss.This DFA has been simulated and processing test.These two antennas have the characteristics of low profile and high gain,which can meet the requirements of the SDFS for the performance of DFA.And they have been used in practical applications.3.Proposed a DFA design for ground station SDFS.Benefit from the miniaturized antenna element and the sidelobe suppression design,the array achieve the characteristics of low wind resistance,low profile,high gain,high polarization purity and high sidelobe suppression.The proposed antenna can meet the demand for the performance of the antenna SDFS.
