Today, new media developed rapidly, as represented by the Internet, cell phones.Network has become an intersection of economic, political, technological, and cultural. Ithas open, integrated and virtual, as well as decentralized and hyperlinks and other features.It opens up a whole new communication paths. New technologies lead the communicationsrevolution, meanwhile people reconstruct the concept of time and space and adjust therealization of themselves by the use of new media.In this research, Netizen’s behavior,such as labelling, line up, the conformity, will becombined with the identity theory of social psychology. Restore the psychological processof netizens in networking events through the identity perspective. With the help ofresearch on the netizen identity, we can have a better understanding on media use behaviorof netizen. This research is based on the theory framework of Spectacle/PerformanceParadigm,which is British scholar Abercrombie and Longhurst’s audience theory. ByReducting the identity construction process of the netizen, we can analyze the relatedcontent of netizen identity. Comparing the similarities and differences between identityconstruction in cyberspace and identity construction in the trational society, We willanalyze features of identity construction in cyberspace, and Summarize, and interpreteseveral typical type of identity from the perspective of identity. I hope to provide aperspective to understand the various network phenomenon. through the research on theidentity of netizen.
