With the development and widespread use of network technology in many fields, the long-distance tutoring has become a new mode of education. As one of the important part of long-distance tutoring, the construction of the online courses that do not exist separately requires us to do research in detail, which is the only way to developing the long-distance tutoring. However, there are still many unsatisfied places existed in current courses which put their emphasis on the content and quality of their teaching, yet ignoring the design of it. And the lack of the possible communication between teachers and their students, including the incomplete interactions and feedbacks. Based on this single learning style, the enthusiasm of the learners can be hardly motivated, which will be sure to weaken the result of learning. And this kind of consequence will certainly cause bad influence in our long-distance education.This thesis focuses on the analysis and research of the problems in the current long-distance tutoring. With the guidance of many advanced teaching methods, it hopes to explore a brand-new online courses which can adjust to the development of long-distance tutoring and also make some contributions in higher education.After analyzing some parts of the long-distance education systems, the author found out many drawbacks in them, such as the lack of autonomic learning among students, the weakly interactive function and the incomplete navigation which can’t fully take the advantage of the online education. Therefore, according to Multi-Agent theory and technology, this thesis introduces the design and exploration of online teaching systems with the idea of web, which leading to the intelligence and individualization of the system that can improve the ability of auto-learning and stimulate the enthusiasm of the earners.This thesis makes some explorations and researches of the long-distance tutoring with the combination of Agent technology. Hopefully, it could shed light on the study of ong-distance tutoring, what’s more, call on the attention of scholars to carry out insightful research in order to find out systematic strategies and theories that can be applied to practice. Nevertheless, because of the limited collected data and the author’s scope of knowledge, the study of the intelligence and humanization of the long-distance tutoring system still needs to be further analyzed and explored.
