The library contains a large amount of the literature resources that people need. Hence the readers can take advantage of these resources to enrich theirselves; meanwhile they can also update these resources and make them much more valuble constantly. With the constant development of the library, the number of the books and the readers has also expanded. In this case, the management of literature information resources management needs a higher requirent. Especially after entering the era of information and Internet, the popularization and application of computers, the traditional library management system has been unable to meet the new requirements of library management process in the timeliness and accuracy of data flow process. According to the research and analysis of operation mechanism on the library management system in our college and the comparison of current information system of two main architecture (C/S and B/S), the author design a plan of development of library management system based on B/S architectureBased on the system of network book management, the new system employs the MYSQL database. In this case, not only the accuracy of information data can be guarateed but also does it provide a series of plans from lending to returning and query. Duo to the humanized design idea, adopting the JSP design of webpage and MVC design pattern and using the open-source framework Struts make new management system much more convenient and rapid than the traditional management system from the interface design to the system operation process, meanwhile it greatly reduces the amount of system maintenance and saves the operating costs. Hence it is very care to the trend of current software development.Based on the wide application of RFID technology, the technology has been introduced to the system. Furthermore, based on the analysis of RFID technology and the principle of economy, security, and a detailed analysis of RFID various practical cases, this paper has realized the function of self-service using RFID technology, and the application of RFID technology in library management field has been put forward.Because of adopting the object-oriented design idea, this system can perfectly solve practical problems in the school library management work. This system contains6modules. The first one is system settings in which the parameters of administrators’ privileges and readers’information can be set. The second one is the reader management which realize the inquirement and mangment of reader’s information. The third module is book mangment which includes the functions of new books’storage, the logout of the old books and so on. The fouth module is books borrowing which is in chage of the daily circulation of books. The fiith module is system query in which we can inquire the information of books and readers.The last one is Changing Password module in which administrators can change their management password and readers can change their logging on password. The system can meet the requirements of library management, for example, the fast speed of response to library management operation, landing the books management system requiring a password which ensures the data security, normal running in various PC machine with strong compatibility and giving the indication of the error messages when the system can not be operate normally or the data file is damaged.This system can be operated in a variety of windowsXP server operating system. No mater what kind of the operation system, it can not make Windows as a desktop operating system client to be affected. In addition, it is easy to be operated. Finally, the system has passed the system test and it achieved the expected assumption of functions and requirements.
