Public Crisis Events In The Metropolis Daily Public Opinion Research

In recent years, the outbreaks of public crisis events appear frequently in China.Theexamples are as follows, Wenchuan earthquake and South snowstorm in2008, Urumqi Eventsand Sanlu melamine scandal in2009,Wangjialing coal mine flooding accident and YushuEarthquake in2010,Wenzhou high-speed train accident, Shuanghui ham clenbuterol events andGansu school bus accident in2011, and so on. The sudden emergence as well as high degree ofuncertainty of crisis events result in significant economic losses, and also threatened the safety ofpeople’s life. As soon as the public crisis events occur, the metropolis daily, as the thicknewspaper, plays an important role by providing abundant information and effective newsreports at first hand to maintain the stability of the whole society.Southern Metropolis Daily, as a comprehensive newspaper, is popular and authoritative. Itforms the mature guidance path and mode of public opinion in crisis events in the continuousdevelopment and progress, which is worth learning and using for reference by related metropolisdaily. Taking Southern Metropolis Daily as the research sample, the paper emphatically analyzesits development track and current situation of the public opinion guiding in public crisis events.On one hand, the paper approves of the important roles played by the metropolis daily in thepublic crisis events. At the same time, it summarizes the public opinion guidingproblems of Southern Metropolis Daily exposed in recent years.The last chapter sums up and upgrades the whole article, and in this part, how to enhancethe metropolis daily’s guidance of public opinion capability is put forward.Based on the idea ofsetting up public opinion platform and using the advantage of the network, It is contribute to playa better role for metropolis daily.The number of researching the public opinion guiding in crisis events is not few in China,but the number about the metropolis daily is few.This article attempts to discuss the difficulties,the advantages,the development tracks, the present situation and the problems of the metropolisdaily’s public opinion guiding in crisis events more systematically, which with the knowledge ofJournalism, Communication studies,Public opinion,Social Psychology and related disciplines, toimprove the ability of guiding public opinion,and to maximize the dissemination of results.
