In recent years, system of science funding develops rapidly, and fund has become the important means and platform to promote the development of science. For country, the level and strength of scientific fund are able to reflect national science and technology strength, and the development direction of science. SCI is the database that has strongest academic influence in the world, and it’s a important beacon of national science strength. Scientific fund of SCI paper on the research, on the one hand, can reflect the main profile of fund to main countries, such as the amount of fund, the scientific field of fund, the mode of fund, etc. On the other hand, it can reflect the correlation of fund and high influence papers, analysising function and influence of fund to SCI papers in science.The paper makes a integral research on scientific funding to SCI papers, making use of database of Web of Science and related methods of statistical analysis. Ten countries that make most contribution to SCI database are chosen as the objects, such as U.S.A, China, Germany, Britain, Japan, France, Italy, Canada, Spain and Australia. It is found that China has the highest percentage of funding to SCI papers, which reach as high as68.36%,73.80%and77.79%. For the quantity, U.S. A is the highest, and the percentage of funding to U.S. A ranks fifth. Grants per funding paper of China is much higher than other countries, for the year of2011, the number reaches2.74, while Spain ranks second. And the grants per funding paper of Japan are relative low, is only2.14. In addition, in terms of research’s field, it’s found that mainly papers which are funded in SCI database belong to basic science research. In recent years, biological science and molecular biology is the key area for funding, while materials science is the core area for funding that has high strength.In order to study the influence of funding to scientific papers, the paper uses citation analysis function of Web of Science, statistical software and related procedures to prove the correlation of fund and SCI papers of high influence. It’s shown that the cited frequency of funding papers is much higher than no funding papers, but there is no significant correlation between funding amount and cited frequency.Moreover, for funding sources, the paper makes a particular statistics of sources which rank top three for amount of fund in main countries. Besides, through the analysis of main funding sources, it is shown that different countries represent different patterns, and3main patterns are summarized, which are:single funding source predominated, including China, Germany, Spain and Canada; double funding sources predominated, including Australia, Japan, Italy and U.S.A; diversified funding source pattern, including France and Britain.
