Can bus can realize all kinds of instrument communication between each other,But its remote communication ability is weak. And as today’s mainstreamnetwork, Ethernet has strong ability of remote communication. For the fusion ofthese two kinds of network technology advantages, through the Ethernet remotemonitoring industry control system based on CAN bus, CAN bus network andEthernet data interconnection, must design CAN/Ethernet converter. This paperdesigned a CAN/Ethernet protocol converters. TCP/IP transport layer Protocolselection of UDP (User Datagram Protocol) Protocol, choose STM32F107as themain controller, realize CAN and UDP Protocol conversion between.This paper puts forward a method of design of CAN/Ethernet protocol converter,due to the transport layer protocol is a UDP against, therefore, is actually designthe CAN bus protocol and UDP protocol conversion gateway.System as long as the CAN communication module, Ethernet communicationmode and protocol conversion module three parts constitute, CANcommunication module is mainly used for acquisition of off-the-shelf instrumentdata and protocol conversion module, the data transmission between the Ethernetcommunication module is mainly responsible for protocol conversion moduleand Ethernet data transmission between the protocol conversion module is theCAN protocol packet and UDP packet for conversion.When field instrument has data to transmit to the Ethernet in the industrialcontrol, CAN communication module of CAN node data, into the data buffer,protocol conversion done by STM32, it converts data buffer CAN protocol datapackets into the UDP protocol packets, and finally by the Ethernetcommunication module sent to Ethernet, when the control commands or datafrom the Ethernet to the field instruments, Ethernet communication modulereceives the packet from the Ethernet, and put it in the data buffer, then theprotocol conversion module is received from Ethernet UDP packet into the CANprotocol, and finally through the CAN communication module, the packet is sentto the corresponding field instruments, so as to realize the remote control of thefield instruments.So far, has been set up in the whole system, the basic function of the required system has a good application prospect, if successful a wide range ofapplications to the production practice.
