The Phenomenon Of Information Asymmetry In Enterprise Archives Management And Its Improvement

"Information asymmetry" means the information owner, as a result of a series of subjective reasons and objective reasons, won’t release information timely and effectively, resulting in the information flow and the formation of information imbalance and asymmetry. Information asymmetry is the basic characteristics of information. Along with the imbalance between knowledge acquisition and knowledge demand,"information asymmetry" with different degrees also appears in enterprise archives management, which is a major drawback for any enterprise. Archives department, as an important information center of the enterprise, retains the core of the information resources of the enterprise, which lays a solid foundation of enhancing the core competitiveness of the enterprise. However, the" information asymmetry" has brought a series of adverse effects to the enterprise archives management and even the whole enterprise information management.This paper mainly uses the literature reading method, the market investigation method and the normative analysis method, and for the first time introduces "information asymmetry" to the research of enterprise archives management. The author firstly analyzes the various phenomenon of information asymmetry in enterprise archives management from two respects including the enterprise archives management processes and the external communication in archives management. Then a series of subjective and objective reasons for the information asymmetry appearing in enterprise archives management are analyzed. What’s more, a variety of adverse effects on enterprise archives management which are brought by information asymmetry are analyzed in detail. Finally, based on the above analysis research, the author proposes some feasible improvement measures to create enterprise archives management environment of information relatively symmetric. The author tries to make a series of negative impact, brought by the "information asymmetry" phenomenon in enterprise archives management, to the minimum, and aims to create a new situation of enterprise archives management.
