Research And Design Of University Data Exchange Platform Based On XML

With the development of the database and network technology, we step intoinformation age at21st century. However, during the education informationization,the heterogeneous data in the independent information systems needs to be integratetogether or data may unable to communicate or share, then the issues of “InformationIslands” have been increased seriously. There are so many information systems withdifferent structures in one university in the same period,which will form a hugeheterogeneous environment. And a great bulk of duplicate information appears indifferent information systems, which may causes the non–consistency between them.For resolving the problems, we need a data exchanged platform, which can realize theinformation of university integrated and shared and provide credible, security,high-quality services.Refer to the reseach of the university informatization in recent years, this thesisuses the XML、Web Service technology and related research as a background, and onthe base of analyzing and studying the key technologics of heterogeneous dataintegration. The thesis designs a data exchang platform for university based on XML,and proposes a new method about the data integrated of University informationmanagement system which uses Web Service protocols and technologies, mapping thedatabase and XML documents by using XML as a middleware,creates a data exchangplatform based on XML in the data layer.By integrates and converters theheterogeneous data from the business departments of the university, the platformensures every database system works independence, integrity and safety while thedata exchanged and shared.The data exchange platform of university storages,collects and processes theshared date from the application systems from every business departments. By using it,the teachers and students can obtain a convenient and accurate information query,report generation, and other information services, the school’s leadership can makedecisions with the references and supportes of data. With the continuous improvementof university informatization, the needs and applys of the data exchange will beincreased, the research of university data exchanged platform based on XML havebright prospect in the construction of university informatization.
