With the rapid development of computer technology and Internet communication, instant messaging has become an indispensable tool for information exchange on theInternet. In this paper, the status quo of instant messaging was explained, followed byintensive exploration regarding the related technology and its development.Thesystem module partition and the realization of each module are the key parts of thispaper. TCP/IP benefits the communication among users. Besides, message encryptionis in the form of hybrid encryption algorithm to ensure safety. The final part is the testof the system, the purpose, method and examples of the test were included in thepaper. The result indicates this system can realize the encryption of instant messagingand promote data transmission on LAN and the information exchange among users.Instant messaging soft based on Visual Studio C#has been developed. This softadapts C/S and P2P system architecture, depends on Multi-threading technology torealize multi-tasking of the servers, and accesses SQL Server data base through Linqinterface. In this way, the basic functions of instant messaging--text transmission,Filetransfer, friends management, user logon, user register, database management areachieved. Various safety issues in instant messaging systems are analyzed in details. Thus this paper proposes a rational model of Hybrid encryption algorithm. This modelcombines the speed of symmetric encryption algorithm AES and the safety ofasymmetric encryption algorithm RSA, so it can identify the modification of messagesand improve the speed of data exchange. In this way, this model is a convenient, safeand fast communication platform for enterprises and facilities.
