| With the development of the infrared technology, the infrared thermal imaging technology has been widely applied in military and civilian fields. How to describe the characteristics accurately is important for us and can provide an important theoretical basis and analytical tools for system design, analysis, verifications and genesis of new concepts.Based on the studying of the huge volume references and the detailed analysis of the theory, we put forward new evaluation metric for the reason that there are still some problems in the existing evaluation metrics, such as not objective enough, not comprehensive enough., we do research on the static performance parameters, such as, NETD, MTF, MRTD and Non-uniformity standard(NU) of the infrared imaging systems and get the formula description of each one finally. Besides, based on these parameter-measuring methods, we have developed an operation interface of the measuring software based on C++builder to complete the actual measurement, and the software interfaces and measuring results will be shown in this paper. Both the subjective images and objective data indicate that the new methods raised in this paper are much more objective and comprehensive.According to the measuring results of the experiments, we have found that the new evaluation metrics put forward in this paper are much more objective and comprehensive compared with the national evaluation metrics. The whole measuring system can work effectively and steadily. |
